Extraction Technician

NEA is seeking dynamic, customer oriented individuals to join our growing team. Our customers demand the very best from us and so we hire only the very best people to join our team. This individual is responsible for extracting and preparing environmental samples according to EPA methodology. Qualified candidates will ideally possess at least a high school diploma with previous lab experience or an associate’s degree in a science or medical field. No direct experience is required as the chosen candidate will receive in-house training on all aspects of the position, however, experience in the environmental laboratory industry or organic extractions is a plus.

This is a full time, permanent position, with some overtime and occasional weekends required. Salary is commensurate with experience.

GC/MS Chemist

Qualified applicants should possess:

  • BA/BS degree in chemistry or related field plus a minimum of six months experience in an environmental testing laboratory operating GC/MS equipment.
  • Specific experience with the analysis of volatiles and semi volatiles by SW-846 and EPA methods is highly desirable.
  • Ability to perform routine maintenance and instrument troubleshooting on GC/MS systems would be an asset for obtaining this position.
  • Knowledge of Varian Saturn GC/MS systems would be a definite plus, but not required.
  • The selected candidate will receive in-house training to analyze and produce data validation packages using Target software.
This is a full time, permanent position.
