Extraction Technician

This individual is responsible for extracting and preparing environmental samples according to EPA methodology. Qualified candidates will ideally possess at least a high school diploma with previous lab experience or an associate’s degree in a science or medical field. No direct experience is required as the chosen candidate will receive in-house training on all aspects of the position, however, experience in the environmental laboratory industry or organic extractions is a plus.

This is a full time, permanent position, with some overtime and occasional weekends required. Salary is commensurate with experience.

GC/MS Chemist

Qualified applicants should possess:

• BA/BS degree in chemistry or related field plus a minimum of six months experience in an environmental testing laboratory operating GC/MS equipment.
• Specific experience with the analysis of volatiles and semi volatiles by SW-846 and EPA methods is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform routine maintenance and instrument troubleshooting on GC/MS systems would be an asset for obtaining this position.
• Knowledge of Varian Saturn GC/MS systems would be a definite plus, but not required.
• The selected candidate will receive in-house training to analyze and produce data validation packages using Target software.
